We’re thrilled to announce that Mediation Surrey was celebrated at the 2024 Surrey Police Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Awards, held on the 20th of November at the Police Headquarters in Guildford.

This annual event, hosted by Surrey Police, highlights the incredible efforts of individuals and organizations working to tackle anti-social behaviour and support victims across the county. The awards recognize dedication, expertise, and innovative approaches that create safer and more harmonious communities.

Mediation Surrey is proud to have three of our exceptional team members — Anne Coleman, Alison Knibbs, and Francis Treasure — recognised for their outstanding contributions to our work.

Mediation Surrey: Who We Are

At Mediation Surrey, we are committed to resolving conflict and supporting individuals and families who are impacted by anti-social behaviour. Our services include:

• Community Mediation: Helping neighbours and residents resolve disputes through impartial discussions.
• Intergenerational Mediation: Assisting families in navigating challenging relationships, particularly when anti-social behaviour impacts communication and understanding between generations.
• Support Coaching: Empowering individuals to handle disputes constructively by equipping them with the skills to manage and de-escalate conflicts.

Our dedicated team of mediators and coaches works closely with individuals and communities to provide compassionate, impartial assistance that addresses the root causes of conflict and promotes long-term solutions.

Recognising Excellence at the ASB Awards

Anne Coleman was honoured for her exceptional work in Intergenerational Mediation. With years of experience, Anne mediates challenging cases involving families impacted by anti-social behaviour. She also dedicates her time to mentoring newly qualified intergenerational mediators, sharing her knowledge and inspiring others to make a difference. Anne’s ability to provide thoughtful guidance and her commitment to fostering professional growth make her an invaluable asset to Mediation Surrey.

Alison Knibbs was recognised for her role as a Support Coach and Community Mediator. Alison works tirelessly to help victims of anti-social behaviour navigate difficult situations. She offers emotional support, equips individuals with coping strategies, and signposts them to additional resources when needed. Alison also excels at resolving neighbourhood disputes, bringing parties together to identify causes of conflict and negotiate lasting resolutions.

Francis Treasure received recognition for his significant contribution to a particularly complex community mediation case that required months of dedicated effort. As a seasoned community mediator, Francis has been instrumental in tackling challenging cases and raising awareness about the value of mediation through public presentations and events. His expertise and perseverance have left a lasting impact on our organization and the people we serve.
